Government of India. Ministry of Defence (MoD) has approved 19 New Sainik Schools.

Admission to the Sainik School stream of Class VI of the New Sainik Schools, for the academic year 2024-25 through AISSEE-2024.

Date of Sainik School Entrance Exam: 21.01.2024 (Sunday)

Medium of the Sainik School Entrance Exam Question Paper:-

Candidate can choose any of the 13 languages listed in the Information Bulletin.

AISSEE’ 2024 covers admission for the academic year 2024-25 to:-

Class VI and Class IX of the Sainik Schools &
Class VI of the New Sainik Schools

Scheme of Exam / Mode of Examination Sainik School Exam:-

Paper pencil on OMR answer sheets for admission to both Class VI & Class IX.

QUALIFICATIONS / ELIGIBILITY TO APPEAR Sainik School Entrance – AISSEE 2024:-

For admission to Sainik Schools:-

Admission to Class VI:-

A candidate should be between 10-12 years (ason 31 March 2024) for admission to Class VI.
Ex:- He/she should have been born between 01 April 2012 & 31 March 2014 (both days inclusive) for admission to the academic year 2024-25.
Admission for Girls is open for Class VI. Age criteria is same as for boys.
Candidates are advisedto check the availability of seats for girls from Appendix VI-A carefully.

Admission to Class IX:-

A candidate should be between 13-15 years (ason 31 March 2024) for admission to Class IX,
Ex:- He/ she should have been born between 01 April 2009 & 31 March 2011 (both days inclusive) for admission to the academic year 2024-25.
Admission for Girls is open for Class IX, subject to availability of vacancies. Age criteria is same as boys.
He/She should have passed Class VIII exam from a recognized=school at the time of admission.

For admission to Approved New Sainik Schools:

Admission to approved New Sainik Schools for the academic year 2024-25 in the Sainik School Stream is only at the level of Class VI.

Eligibility requirements (under 40% route):

A candidate should be between 10 – 12 years as on 31 March 2024 for admission to Class VI,
ie. he/she should have been born between 01 April 2012 & 31 March 2014
(both days inclusive) for admission to the academic year 2024-25.
Admission for Girls is open for Class VI. Age criteria is same as for boys.
Candidates are advised to check the availability of seats for girls from the website of the approved New Sainik School concerned.

A candidate should be between 10-12 years as on 31 March 2024 for admission to Class VI,
i.e. he/she should have been born between 01 April 2012 & 31 March 2014

Admission for Girls is open for Class VI. Age criteria is same as boys.
Candidates are advised to check the availability of seats for girls from the website of the approved New Sainik School concerned.
Candidates should be studying in the approved New Sainik School where he is seeking admission & must have passed/appearing in Class V as on 31.03.2024.

Step 2: Fill in the Online Application Form & note down the system generated Application No.

Scanned images of Candidate’s Photograph (file size: 10kb-200 kb) in JPG format.
Candidate’s Signature (file size: 4kb-30kb) in JPG format.
Candidate’s left-hand thumb impression. (file size 10 kb -50 kb) in JPG format.
(In case of any eventuality of left thumb being unavailable, right hand thumb impression may be used).
Date of Birth Certificate issued by the Competent Authority.
Domicile Certificate.
Caste/Community/ Category Certificate (if applicable).
Certificate of service (for Defence category-serving) and PPO for
Ex- servicemen, if applicable.
Certificate from the Principal certifying that the applicant is studying in the approved New Sainik School.
(Applicable only for those who are studying currently in approved New Sainik Schools).
